ACCOUNT RECOVERY
Your account has a safety net. If you want one.
A guardian is a second wallet that can recover your account if you lose access. Not a custodian. Not NablaZ. A wallet you trust.
Set up your guardianHOW IT WORKS
Choose a guardian wallet
One transaction to set it. Use a hardware wallet or a trusted address you control.
If you lose your wallet, your guardian proposes a new one
Your guardian initiates recovery. A 48-hour countdown begins.
After 48 hours, control transfers
You can cancel anytime during this window. If you don't cancel, the new wallet takes over.
WHAT A GUARDIAN CAN AND CANNOT DO
CAN
Propose a new controlling wallet
Initiate the 48-hour recovery window
Cancel a recovery they initiated
CANNOT
Move your funds
Change your settings or risk tier
Execute trades or transactions
Act without the 48-hour delay
Be removed once set (only replaced)
Once set, a guardian cannot be removed — only changed to a different address. Choose carefully.
WHO SHOULD BE YOUR GUARDIAN?
A wallet you trust that won't lose its own keys. Good options: a second hardware wallet you control, a trusted family member's wallet, a professional custody service. Not a hot wallet you use daily.
WHAT IF YOU DON'T SET ONE?
That's fine. Your account works perfectly without a guardian. If you ever lose your wallet, recovery goes through your wallet provider directly. We recommend setting one for accounts holding significant value.
